Summer Student   Research and Development Coordinator

Pathways Addictions Resource Centre

Reporting to the Executive Director the Research and Development Coordinator will develop a project entitled “We Thrive” a Comprehensive Guide to Wellness for Pathways’ clients struggling with substance use and addictions.  This life skills project will include developing Powerpoint modules and print ready booklets to assist clients in the areas of: Goal Setting; Budgeting; Employment and Volunteer opportunities; Exercise and Nutrition; Stress Management.  The Coordinator will also take part in marketing the project including press releases and social media campaigns.

Duties Include:

Develop a project timeline to ensure all deliverables are on time and on budget

Research material on life skills topics to be inserted into PowerPoint and booklets

Develop mini PowerPoint presentations to deliver to Pathways’ clients and other community groups

Develop print ready material for 6-8 mini booklets including text and artwork

Collaborate with community partners to gather material

Work with printing company to publish booklets

Roll out a media campaign including press releases and social media blitz


  • University student enrolled in marketing/social work/psychology
  • Developing publishing material for print
  • Exceptional Presentation and Facilitation skills
  • Proficient in social media including Twitter, Facebook
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including PowerPoint and other computer programs
  • Ability to work independently
  • Class 5 drivers licence and use of a vehicle
  • Must pass a criminal record check and agency screening

Start date is Monday June 24th, 2019 until August 16, 2019.  Wage is $18.00/hour.
