Sherry Ure, President

Sherry is a graduate of the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Sherry has practiced in Penticton since 1991. She presently serves on the board that sets examination standards for naturopathic physicians across North America.

I serve on the board because Pathways fulfills a very important and much needed role in the community.

Mark Smed, Vice-President

Mark is a local IT Consultant with Silver Lining Technology Services Inc and writer. Mark has lived in the Okanagan Valley for almost his entire life and volunteers with other organizations.

I firmly believe that I would not be alive if it weren’t for Pathways and welcome the opportunity to give back.

Jeff Everden, Treasurer

Jeff has been a funeral director at Everden Rust Funeral Services in Penticton for the past 18 years and previously has worked with the Portland Hotel Society and St. James Community Service Society in Vancouver. He has been a Pathways board member since 2012.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to assist Pathways in its work to help individuals dealing with addictions.

S Paul Varga, Board

Paul graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 2011 and practices in the area of civil litigation with a focus on family law, personal injury, estate litigation, and criminal defense. Paul joined the legal profession after a 20-year-career in the media, most recently as the managing editor of the Penticton Herald.

Garry Fawcett, Board

Garry has retired in Penticton and actively volunteers within the community. Garry has a long career in security, including serving as a constable with the Delta Police.

Don Cocar, Board

Don Cocar is a local pharmacist and owner of Knight’s Pharmacy in Penticton. Don is active in the local community and has served in many organizations.
